Allah SWT says, “It is decreed for you: when death approaches one of you, and he leaves wealth, to make a testament in favor of the parents and the relatives, fairly and correctly—a duty upon the righteous.” (2:180)
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has emphasized the preparation of a Will at one’s earliest opportunity: ‘It is not permissible for any Muslim who has something to will, to stay for two nights without having his last will written and kept ready with him.” (Bukhari, 53)
