2026-2028 Election Schedule and Process

Nominations must be submitted in person to an election committee member.

Nomination forms are available at the treasurer office or can be downloaded below (windsorislamicassociation.com/elections).

The nominee verification against the membership list will be done immediately upon

submission.

Additional eligibility verification could be done after submission conditional on the

election committee receiving signed confirmation from the president, vice president and

treasurer.

The nominee can only have one active nomination at a time. This means that a

nominee can withdraw from one position and resubmit a nomination for another position

As soon as the nomination is accepted, it is made public. There will be no blackout

period.

Candidates may optionally provide a personal picture to be posted next to their name in

candidate list.

Monday, April 20, 2026, to Sunday, April 26, 2026

The nominees can withdraw during this time.

Sunday, May 3, 2026

The candidates meet with members, present their vision for the role, and answer

questions.

Sunday, May 17, 2026,

Ballot casting from 11 AM to 6 PM at the WIA Gym
